At first,
I didn’t think this year was gonna be all that great, but now I’m actually pretty excited. McMillen teams are pretty good this year, as far as I’m concerned, the Freshmen and Sophomores are getting along.
Monday- 7-9:30: Abs and core, and arms and chest for over an hour straight. After that, Ran up and down bleachers non stop, then hopping up the bleachers with one leg, stop, switch legs, and so on. After, snaked all bleachers for over 10 minutes nonstop. 2-4:30: Easy stuff. Worked on spot serving. Queen of the Court. Passing, digging, and hitting.
Tuesday- 7-9:30: Ohmygod. Sprinted like, 343928x 100s on the track, and 5 suicides on the football field in the heat. And then after that, we headed to the hill. There were 7 cones at the top of the hill, and 8 cones at the bottom of the hill. Sprinted uphill around the first cone, then downhill around the other. Then BUNNY HOPS uphill, sprinting downhill. Lounges uphill, lounges downhill. Karaoke/grapevine uphill, karaoke downhill. Sprinting uphill, sprinting downhill. Then back pedaling uphill, back pedaling downhill. After we were done, jog back to the beginning and start over. Outside, running for hours in the heat. Yayyayyay. After, few easy core workouts. 2-4:30: Basic stuff pretty much. Queen of the Court. Passing, scrimmages, all that good stuff.
Wednesday- 7-9:30: Ran for time outside on the track. Ran a 40 in 6.2 and 6.39 secs, faster than average, but still not good enough. Ran an 800 in 3.5 mins(: I’m somewhat proud, but it’s still obviously not good enough. Went inside, ran the L-Drill in 9.2 secs. Ran the shuttle drill in 9.something secs too. Stretched. Easy day. Didn’t have to come back at 2. (:
Thursday- Ortho appointment at 8:20, getting them off the 29th of this month(: Went to practice at MCMILLENNNN<3 IT’S SO NICE THERE. I’M GONNA DIE. Me and another girl could fit into the Athletic lockers!(; Screw P.E. lockers! Anyways. Checked for vertical and peppered. I HAVE A 14 INCH VERTICAL. Which is pretty good, but not as good as last year’s 17 inch, :’/ Went outside for a timed mile. I LOST MY MILE D: D: D: Stupid. Ran it in 9.45 minutes, D; Fuck. Went back inside, warmed up shoulders and arms. Passing and serving exercises. Easy. Learned formations. Middle back, right back, and front right.(: I’m happy with the teams. With ALL the teams. Sophomore team TEAM GOLD! Freshmen A Team Team White. Freshmen B Team Team Navy. I’m so excited for uniformssss :D THE LOCKERROOMS ARE AMAZING. The school’s pretty badass.
And yeah. Meeting up at East again today at 6PM. Tomorrow, another practice 8:45 till 12PM. Then SCRIMMAGES against Williams till 2:30! (: Not a bad start.
